Description
Inside the number 2 bow of your 1965-1970 Chevrolet Impala or Impala SS(the front header bow is number 1, the next one back is the #2 bow) there is a metal channel called the
bow sleeve retainer
. The convertible top will have a flap of material hanging down above the #2 bow, the bow sleeve retainer holds this flap to the #2 bow and keeps the top from billowing up or flapping in the wind when you are driving down the road. Quite often the bow sleeve retainer is missing or rusted away and there is nothing to hold the convertible top material down, we have all seen the convertible car going down the road with the top puffed up like hot air balloon! This new bow sleeve retainer is a duplicate of the original
and comes with the screws
that go through the bottom of the #2 bow and screw into the bow sleeve retainer.
