    Description

When your safety is on the line out on an angry sea, can you ever have too much power from your VHF Marine radio to talk back to shore or another vessel for help?
Extend your transmit range with this amplifier!
This listing is for a brand NEW Henry VHF Marine amplifier that will take your standard Marine radio that puts out about 25 watts and will then
output 130+ watts from the amplifier.
It also includes a DC power cable and an RF connection cable to go to your radio as shown.
RF jumper cable is about 3 feet long and has high quality PL-259 connectors on each end.
The RCA jack on the amplifier can be used to bypass the amplifier (a simple SPST toggle switch that you provide will work fine. RCA jack OPEN is OPERATE, Shorted is Bypass)
The amplifier has an integrated transmit receive relay that activates when you transmit from your radio and is simple to install and foolproof to operate. The dimensions are approximately 14 inches long by 4.0 inches high by 4.0 inches wide.
This unit carries a 1 year warranty that is directly administered by Henry Radio in Los Angeles
Shipping of .95 is for USA CONUS lower 48 states only, ANY other location will be higher cost.
Here's how to install on your vessel:
Connect Red to positive 12-14 VDC and black to negative
Remove the cable from your antenna that goes to your radio, put this cable on the output connector of the amplifier
Connect the included RF jumper cable from your radio's RF output jack and the other end to the amplifier RF input jack.
    Make sure:
Your antenna can handle 150 watts (most can, but you should be sure)
You connect the DC power cable to a source of DC power on your boat that can deliver up to 25 amps of current at about 12-14 VDC, we suggest you fuse at 30 amps with your own fuse close to the power source for safety
We use an internal 30 amp fuse.
Use this legally in International waters (you won't need the high power close to shore)
Protect the amplifier from water contact when you choose a mounting location
NOTE: The amplifier you will get is centered on 156.8 MHz, it will meet specs from 146.8-166.8 MHz which more than covers the entire Marine VHF band. We can also make this amplifier on ANY VHF frequency range from 136-174 MHz. ANY 20 MHz span can be made for you. Example: You tell me to have this made on 150 MHz, the amplifier will meet specs from 140-160 MHz. email for other input power levels and RF connector possibilities.
